"Ohh, you can always find me around Basantapur Durbar Square selling maize. It’s the only thing I do for me and my daughter's living. I have only limited budget to live my dreams so I somehow try to fulfill my daughter's every small wish by helping her selling these maizes. I purchase 20kgs everyday and sell them to student, tourists and locals who want to feed pigeons. Sigh! People care about the birds and that's how my life runs. There's always 10kgs in the backyard I hide from the Kathmandu municipalities. They won't allow us to sell anything in a walkway and can’t afford a better place to earn my living. And Sometimes, only Sometimes I just feel helpless."- 70 Years Old, Shanti Devi K.C.
